About this event:
This is an intermediate class so basic Bachata understanding is required.
Bachata, which literally means “party”, is a social dance from the Dominican Republic which took hold in the Western world in the late 1990s. The main melody is predominantly played by an electric guitar accentuated by a cowbell to an eight count pattern. It is a slower pace than salsa or merengue with the basic step of a side to side pattern similar to many American line dances. Bachata is danced today in the all over the world and has had much success in clubs in Central Ohio.
