Indie folk alternative supergroup Empaths in Retrograde formed in the cold recesses of Winnipeg Manitoba. Desperate to start a revolution that would destroy the music scene (after getting his heart broken by a recording engineer), singer songwriter Snarky Remarkable (The Full Benefits) teamed with artist/producer Ampersand Rew, who quickly tempered his expectations. Fully surrendering to their insignificance, they filled out their band with guitarist Ryan Whiskey (The Meatstix), bassist Charles Herscovitch (Fighter Flight, Noise Generation) and keyboardist Jordan. Jordan turned out to be a jerk-faced jerk who left the band and was replaced by synth wizard Spoken Softly.
