About this event:
The Joy Smith Foundation is proud to announce the inaugural
Illuminate Hope Gala, happening on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. This inspiring evening is dedicated to supporting survivors of human trafficking and redefining how we prevent and combat this urgent issue.
The Illuminate Hope Gala is a pivotal moment for the Joy Smith Foundation, marking a time of both immediate action and bringing a vision to life. The funds raised will establish the key resources and infrastructure necessary to expand the Foundation’s vital work in human trafficking prevention, education, and survivor support. Most importantly, this support will drive the development and opening of the Teaching Campus, a transformative initiative, with a dual purpose: to end human trafficking in Canada and help survivors on their path to healing.
Gala attendees will empower the Foundation to take bold, impactful steps today, building the foundation for the 2027 Campus opening. The Teaching Campus will redefine how we prevent human trafficking, equipping communities with the tools and knowledge to protect vulnerable individuals. It will also be a crucial resource for survivors, providing the support they need to heal and rebuild their lives.
