*You must be able to make it all days and times listed above.
Class Pre-requisites:
- Participants must be 15 years old by the last day of the class.
- Online Certificate – to participate in the in-person part of this course, participants must complete online portion prior. Access will be given to participants 2 weeks to 5 days prior to the start of the in-class sessions via Red Cross link.
- Participants must pass the following Red Cross required swim tests at the beginning of class. If you sign up but cannot pass the prerequisites, refunds will not be given.
- Swim-tread-swim sequence: swim 6 laps, tread water for 2 minutes with hands under arms, swim two laps. Swimming can be done in either freestyle or breaststroke
- Brick Tow: Jump in shallow and swim to deep end, grab brick, tow back to shallow end
*We highly suggest you do some pool work if you are not conditioned to swim. We will teach you everything else needed to know.
Refund Policy:
100% refund up to 7 days before first class start date. No refunds will be given within 7 days of training. If you do not show up to the training, you will not be refunded, no exceptions. If you show up and do not meet requirements, cannot pass the tests, and/or do not complete the training, you will not be refunded, no exceptions.
What should I bring to class?
- Online Learning Red Cross certificate of completion
- Competitive Style Swimsuit (goggles optional)
- Snacks/lunch
- Lots of Water
- Sun protection
- Towel(s)
- Extra clothing and layers (especially during the colder months).
