Join us for an immersive workshop with Jaycee Seenie and Kashina Blacksmith-Seenie exploring storytelling, traditional songs, melodies, and instruments for performance, connection, and expression. Through shared teachings and guided activities, deepen your understanding of traditional performance while learning how you can meaningfully and respectfully incorporate these elements into your music. This workshop is open to Indigenous artists, educators, and cultural workers committed to learning through Indigenous knowledge practices.
Kashina and Jaycee come from a ceremony family and have been together for nine years. They both love singing together, teaching, and sharing with others. Kashina is an artist and musician. Sewing, beading, and singing are her full-time job. Her husband Jaycee is the first Indigenous health care shkabee.
