The Lost Violin of Sherlock Holmes is the first of its kind Dark Classical Music Concert Winnipeg.
It took four visionaries, pioneers of Winnipeg’s classical music scene, who embraced this idea bringing it to life at Garrick Hotel Bar on Saturday, October 25th.
This groundbreaking and historic evening (never before classical musicians performed at the bar) will feature classical works with dark & mysterious themes, immersing the audience in the shadowy world of one of the greatest detectives of all time.
1st Violin – Clair Tang (musical director)
2nd Violin – Will Harder
Viola – Chelsea Dong
Cello – Natanielle Felicitas
Doors Open at 8.30pm – seating is rushed
Show starts at 9.15pm
Evening ends ~ 11pm

The Lost Violin of Sherlock Holmes

It was on a dreary October evening that I returned from a late call upon a patient in Wimpole Street to find Holmes standing in the middle of our sitting room, a note in one hand and his beloved violin case conspicuously absent from its usual place by the fireplace.
"My dear Watson," he said, without turning his gaze from the paper, "the hour is grave. My Stradivarius has been stolen."
"Stolen? But how?" I exclaimed.
Holmes handed me the note. It was written in a slanted, delicate hand, the ink still fresh:
"Mr. Sherlock Holmes, your bow is sharp, but let us see if your strings are in tune. Find me before the last chord fades, or your music will be silenced forever."
No signature. Only a faint scent of sandalwood lingered on the paper...
