Prepare yourself for a dating experience like no other as we merge an exciting and thrilling activity like axe throwing with the timeless concept of speed dating to provide you a night of adventurous fun and romance. Rather than a typical Flare Event icebreaker, our axe throwing events add an activity while you mingle with other attendees; shifting the focus and tension off first impressions and small talk, and moving it to an engaging hands on activity. Here’s the rundown of our "BATL Royale" speed dating Toronto events: Purchase a ticket and you’ll receive a confirmation email from our team once it has been processed. Keep an eye out on your inbox! On the day of the speed dating event, prepare your best outfit and talking points (remember, first impressions are key). Be prepared to arrive at the venue 15 minutes before the speed dating event begins. Our host will be there to check you in and provide you with a scorecard when you arrive.

Feel free to take the first quarter of the event to sit back, relax, and mingle with the other guests. We encourage you to grab a drink at the bar at this time too (a little liquid confidence never hurts).

Once everyone is in attendance and settled in, it's time to roll up your sleeves and get ready to throw some axes! Daters will be broken off into groups as dedicated members of BATL's talented team take the time to walk through the rules, the game we will be playing, and how to throw a battle axe like a pro. By the end of the night you may be just as skilled as Viking warriors in the days of old!

After the axe throwing portion is complete, it’s time to start speed dating! You’ll be seated in front of a potential match with 8 minutes to get to know one another. Feel free to talk about whatever you like, but we always recommend keeping it lighthearted and professional (don't do anything we wouldn't do). Once the time is up, the host will direct the rotation of pairs, and you'll move on to meet your next date.

Remember to take time at the start of each date to write down your dater’s name and, at the end, mark off if you felt it was a good match or not. Once you’ve spoken to everyone, that’s it, you’re done—great job! Make sure your scorecard is filled out correctly, hand it back to our host, and leave the rest to us.

However, just because the event is over doesn’t mean your night has to be! Feel free to stay for a drink (or two). Kick back, relax, and maybe chat further with some of the other daters from our speed dating event. Within 48 hours you will hear back from us via email with exciting news about your potential matches from our speed dating event.
