Craft Workshop: Junk Journaling
Public Event
Tue, Nov 18 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM CST
About this event:
We’ve hiked, learned, and explored together all summer—now it’s time to get cosy and creative indoors! Join us for our Nature Club Craft Workshops, a new monthly series hosted at the CPAWS Manitoba office. Connect with fellow nature lovers as we explore creative ways to celebrate the environment through hands-on, eco-friendly crafts. From junk journaling to upcycled art projects, you’ll learn how to turn everyday materials into something beautiful—while keeping sustainability in mind.
We’ll provide everything you need—just bring your imagination and love for nature.
Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just looking for a cozy, creative way to spend a winter evening, this club is for you. Share ideas, make new friends, and take home unique creations inspired by nature.
Explore Junk Journaling:
Ever look at a ticket stub or a pretty piece of packaging and think, this is too good to toss? That’s the magic of junk journaling. Part scrapbook, part creative time capsule, it turns everyday “junk”—receipts, stickers, scraps, postcards—into artful pages filled with memories. Instead of buying piles of supplies, you simply gather the bits of life you already have. It’s eco-friendly, endlessly personal, and a whole new way to see the beauty in the things you usually overlook. Learn more here.
Accessibility:
- Wheelchair: Fully accessible (wheelchair ramp outside of building)
- Bathrooms: Gender Neutral
- Parking: Street parking on Corydon (2-hour limit)
- Family-friendly
- Supplies provided, feel free to bring your own journal, supplies and pictures to make it personal!
